WR...okay I have been an admirer from afar...I listen to your show ( have for quite some time). I write, finally, because of Dennis' DID weekend...the Al Green (amongst all of the choices...well, I would have done something off of Sisters/Lovers but you beat me to it)...sheesh...I guess it's no surprise based on your love of music...but it's just such a cool choice...not that my opinion matters...as to The Feelies...well the Crazy Rhythms tour was a shot across my bow that has paid dividends ever since.
I hope you are well and happy in the city of my people (portland? yes?)...and thank you for entertaining me over these last years...to say nothing of your insights at DC's...
Wr...the dead thing...well they were my first love...I was little with older perverting brothers who laid it on me. But as to who I am beyond that legacy...well suffice it to say, I am a punk...solid. I played it, lived it, and crawled off to my dead records when I was tired and burnt...fucking hated everything about the surrounding culture exemplified by Phish and their ilk...completely missed the point of the dead in my book...but unique is...ala Drake, Barrett, whomever that is touched...an unretreivable artistic compulsion...no?
